The S68 engine is a hot-vee twin-turbo V8. Two cylinder banks. Two turbochargers. Two intake paths. A single-bank intake solution doesn't exist on this platform — you need a matched pair. So we built a matched pair.
And we built them in titanium.
Not stainless steel. Not aluminum. Not injection-molded plastic like the factory units. Grade 2 titanium — the same material used in aerospace ducting and Formula 1 exhaust systems. Here's what that means for the G90 M5 owner:
Weight. Titanium is 45% lighter than stainless steel. On a platform that gained 450 kilograms over its predecessor, every gram removed from the front end matters. Lighter intakes mean less mass over the front axle, sharper turn-in, and a power-to-weight ratio that fights back against the hybrid penalty.
Thermal performance. Titanium has roughly one-tenth the thermal conductivity of aluminum. Factory plastic intakes are light but insulate poorly. Aluminum aftermarket intakes are strong but heat-soak rapidly in the hot-vee engine bay, raising intake air temperatures. Titanium stays cooler, keeping air density higher and combustion more efficient. On a turbocharged engine, colder air is free horsepower.
Sound. This is the part no spec sheet can capture. Titanium intake pipes resonate differently than any other material. The thin-walled, high-tensile structure produces a sharper, more metallic induction note — the kind of sound that makes you roll down the window just to hear the turbos spool. A V8 pulling through titanium intakes doesn't just perform differently. It sounds different. It sounds expensive. Because it is.
The six units in this photo represent the first production batch of our G90/G99 Elite Dual Titanium Intake systems. They're arranged in three color-matched pairs:
Red Edition — red pleated conical filters paired with our signature blue-purple heat-treated titanium pipes. The stacked TIG weld rings transition from deep violet to electric blue, the same oxidation gradient that makes titanium exhaust tips the most photographed part of a performance build.
Blue Edition — blue filters matched to metallic blue iridescent pipes. Cool tones, consistent theme, designed for owners who want the intake to complement a blue M5 exterior or blue brake calipers.
Gold Edition — gold filters paired with gold-bronze-purple titanium pipes. This is the statement piece. Under the hood of a dark-colored G90 M5, gold titanium intakes catch light from every angle. It's the intake equivalent of carbon-ceramic brakes — visible, premium, unmistakably aftermarket.

Zoom in on any of these pipes. Those stacked circular weld rings at each bend aren't just decoration.
Each ring is a TIG weld seam where two sections of titanium tubing are joined at a precisely calculated angle. The pipe isn't bent. It's fabricated — cut, fixtured, tacked, welded, and inspected. Every ring represents a joint that must be perfectly aligned, perfectly purged, and perfectly penetrated.
Why not just bend the tube? Because titanium's work-hardening characteristics make mandrel bending at tight angles extremely difficult without thinning the outer wall. A bent titanium tube has variable wall thickness — thinner on the outside of the bend, thicker on the inside. Under sustained boost pressure and engine vibration, the thin outer wall becomes a failure point.
A fabricated tube with welded segments has constant wall thickness through every change in direction. The weld rings are the visible evidence that we chose strength over shortcuts.
The G90 M5 began customer deliveries in late 2024. The G99 M5 Touring followed in early 2025. As of mid-2026, the aftermarket for this platform is still in its infancy. Most manufacturers are waiting to see how many units BMW sells before investing in R&D.

Our engineering team reverse-engineered the factory intake geometry, identified the airflow bottlenecks, and designed a dual-titanium replacement that increases cross-sectional flow area while reducing weight. The first prototypes were on a test car before most aftermarket brands had even announced their intentions.
