From Titanium to Carbon — Fupower's New Audi Intake Kit

Why Carbon Over Titanium (for an Intake)

Both materials are legitimate. They just have different strengths:

• Titanium — maximum durability and heat tolerance, with that signature blue-and-gold weld coloring
• Dry carbon — lighter than titanium, and a much poorer conductor of heat

For an intake, the second point is everything. The intake tube sits inside a hot engine bay. Every degree of heat the tube absorbs warms the incoming air — and warm air is less dense, which means less oxygen, which means less power.

Carbon fiber doesn't store heat the way metal does. It sheds it. The result: cooler charge air from the filter to the throttle body, and a throttle response you can feel.

What's in the Kit

This isn't a pipe. It's a complete system, straight out of the box:

• Dry carbon S-curve intake tube — with integrated mounting brackets and port, engineered to the same geometry as our titanium version
• Blue high-flow cone filter — clamped directly to the tube for maximum surface area
• Powder-coated heat shield — blocks radiant heat from the engine so the tube does its job
• Four silicone couplers — straight, reducing and angled pieces to match the factory routing, leak-free fit
• T/Y hose assembly, clamps and full hardware — everything needed for a direct bolt-on install, no fabrication

Built the Fupower Way

The carbon version follows the same in-house path as every Fupower part: scanned and modeled from the real vehicle, prototype-fitted, then laid up in dry carbon, cured and clear-coated with UV protection in our own factory.
