The Prototype Is the Contract
When we build a custom part for you — an intake pipe, a bracket, a housing, anything — the 3D printed prototype is where the project gets proven:
- Full-size, true-to-spec geometry — not a scaled model, not a rough mockup. The prototype is the part, in plastic, at final dimensions
- Fitment and location verified — we test it against the actual installation environment, check every mounting point, every clearance, every angle
- Exact dimensions confirmed — if the bend is off by a degree or the hole is off by a millimeter, we find it now, on a prototype that costs days to remake — not later, on metal that costs weeks and thousands of dollars
The prototype is the visual contract between what you approved and what we will build. If it doesn't fit in plastic, it will not fit in metal — and we find that out while fixes are still cheap.
From Your Sample or Drawing to a Printed Part
Here's the complete path your project takes:
- We start from your sample or your drawing — whichever you have, it's enough
- Scan and model — the real-world geometry is captured with our 3D scanner, then engineered in CAD
- Print full-size — the prototype comes off our in-house 3D printers
- Verify fitment — tested, measured, and confirmed against the real installation point
- Your approval — you see the prototype, you approve the design
- Production — only after approval do we commit to metal, then straight to wholesale
Every step happens in-house, with our own engineering team. You're not emailing a drawing into a black box — you're working with the people who scan, design, and verify your project internally.
Why This Matters to You
The old way of custom manufacturing is a gamble: design on paper, cut tooling, run production, and hope. If the fit is wrong, you eat the cost, the time, and the rework.
The Fupower way removes the gamble:
- No surprises — the part you approve is the part you get
- No costly rework — fitment issues are caught at the plastic stage, where they cost days, not at the metal stage, where they cost weeks
- Faster to market — your design is proven before production, so production runs once
- Complete confidence — you've held the part in your hands before we ever start the machine
For distributors and brands, that means your product launches on schedule, with fitment that your customers won't question. For one-off builders, it means a custom part that actually fits the first time.
Custom Projects Welcome
Intake pipes, brackets, housings, anything that needs to be made right — send us your sample or your drawing. We'll scan it, model it, print it, verify it, and only then produce it.
That's the Fupower standard: verified before production, approved before metal.
