High Volume, Defined. "High volume" means larger internal diameter throughout — from the CNC-machined turbo flange, through the mandrel bends, to the catback connection. No neck-downs at the flex section. No diameter compromises at the merge. A true 3-inch exhaust path that maintains cross-sectional area from flange to flange. The result: lower exhaust gas backpressure, faster turbo spool, and a significantly deeper, more aggressive exhaust tone that transforms the FK8 from quiet hot hatch to track-day weapon.
Construction. CNC mandrel-bent from 1.5mm SS304 stainless steel. TIG welded under full argon back-purge — no internal weld sugaring, no turbulence-inducing imperfections inside the pipe. The CNC-machined turbo flange ensures perfect flatness and bolt-hole alignment. An integrated stainless flex section isolates engine movement without transferring stress to the turbine housing.
