The 2-1 layout is the performance choice for the Twin Cam 88 and Twin Cam 96 engines in the FXDL. Merging both cylinders into one collector creates exhaust scavenging that pulls the next charge through, sharpening mid-range torque -- exactly where a 2,700-pound cruiser needs it most. The single muffler also drops roughly 8-10 pounds of unsprung rear weight versus the twin muffler setup, which the chassis feels immediately in corners and at stops.
Built from stainless steel with mandrel-bent tubing for smooth internal flow, TIG-welded by hand with argon back-purge for clean, oxidation-free joints. Black ceramic coated or raw stainless finishes; titanium version available on request. Full-length heat shields on both head pipes, billet end cap, removable baffle core for tune-your-own loudness. Direct bolt-on to the factory exhaust ports and mounts -- no cutting, no re-flash required for the basic setup.
