Every SS304 downpipe we produce starts with CNC-machined flanges, not stamped blanks. The turbo flange is surfaced flat to the exact bolt pattern of the turbine housing. The O2 sensor bungs are positioned at the factory angle in the factory location. The flex section is integrated at the point of maximum engine movement. The catback adapter flange mates cleanly to the factory exhaust or your aftermarket system -- whichever your customer is running further downstream.
From there, the choices are yours. Catless for maximum flow. High-flow 200-cell or 300-cell sports catalyst for emissions compliance and no check engine light. Ceramic thermal barrier coating to keep exhaust heat in the pipe and out of the engine bay. Raw brushed finish for customers who want to see the welds. Laser-etched logo on the body of the pipe or the flange. Private-label packaging with your part number.
Same process as our titanium line. Same welders. Same back-purge stations. Same fixture-checking on real vehicles. Just a different material at a different price point, built for a different volume tier. 50 units or 5,000 -- the flanges are still CNC-machined, the welds are still TIG-fused under argon, and the pipe is still mandrel-bent to your exact diameter and routing. Product details
Heat management starts at the downpipe. The turbine outlet is the hottest point in the entire exhaust system -- gas temperatures can exceed 900 degrees Celsius under sustained load. Every degree of heat that radiates from an uncoated downpipe into the engine bay raises intake air temperatures, cooks nearby wiring and hoses, and reduces the thermal efficiency of the entire engine system. A ceramic-coated SS304 downpipe keeps that heat inside the pipe where it maintains exhaust gas velocity and improves turbo response, instead of bleeding into the engine bay where it causes problems.
Our ceramic coating is applied in-house, not outsourced to a third party. The pipe is prepped, sprayed, and cured under controlled conditions that produce a uniform thermal barrier across the entire surface. The coating increases surface emissivity, actively shedding heat at a faster rate than bare stainless steel. It protects the pipe from corrosion. It gives the downpipe a finished appearance that communicates quality to your customer before they even open the rest of the box. And it is optional -- raw brushed stainless is available for customers who prefer the exposed weld aesthetic or who plan to apply their own thermal management solution.
