Water-to-Air, Built for Water.
Unlike an automotive air-to-air front-mount, a PWC intercooler uses raw water pulled from the jet pump to cool the charge air. The heat exchange happens inside a compact aluminum core — charge air on one side, lake or ocean water on the other. The stakes are higher here: a leak between the two circuits sends water straight into the intake. That is why every core we build is pressure-tested on both the air side and the water side before it leaves our floor. Zero tolerance for cross-contamination.
What We Control In-House:
Core — High-density bar-and-plate, sized to fit the cramped PWC engine bay. Internal turbulator pitch optimized for the flow rates a supercharged Rotax or Yamaha SVHO demands at sustained WOT. Water-side passages designed for debris resistance — no clogging from sand or lake sediment.
End tanks — Cast aluminum or CNC-machined billet, designed for the inlet/outlet routing of your specific hull. Port orientation matched to the factory or aftermarket charge pipe layout. Integrated mounting bosses that use OEM bolt points — no drilling, no custom brackets.
Corrosion resistance — Marine-grade anodizing or black thermal coating on every external surface. Internal water-side passages receive a corrosion-inhibiting treatment that stainless and bare aluminum cannot match in saltwater conditions.
Kit scope — Core only, or full bolt-on kit with multi-ply reinforced silicone charge hoses (oil-resistant inner liner), stainless marine-grade T-bolt clamps, and all mounting hardware. Your end customer opens the box and installs.
