The Nissan Z and GT-R platforms cover three very different engine configurations with one shared requirement: the factory catalytic converters must come out. The naturally aspirated VQ35 and VQ37 in the 350Z and 370Z need test pipes that delete the cats and let the V6 breathe freely to its 7,500 RPM redline. The twin-turbo VR38 in the GT-R needs downpipes that remove the thermal and flow restriction from the turbine outlet so the turbos spool without fighting backpressure. The same SS304 material serves all three applications because the requirements are the same: mandrel-bent tubing, CNC-machined flanges, correct O2 sensor bung positions, and welds that hold.
