Product description
The Z-pipe geometry equalizes the pulse timing between the two cylinder banks. Pressure waves that used to collide inside the stock section now travel in phase, which eliminates the resonance that caused cabin drone and lets the exhaust scavenge more efficiently. On the S55, the difference is immediate: cruise becomes quiet and civilized, then the midpipe lets the engine sing a cleaner, harder-edged note from 4,000 rpm to redline. When the section is combined with a downpipe and a freer axle-back, the S55's output gains are typically 10-15 horsepower at the wheels with a noticeable torque curve improvement.
