The Evo X's 4B11T is a turbocharged engine that left the factory with an intake designed for Mitsubishi's NVH department, not its performance division. The stock airbox chokes airflow through a restrictive panel filter and a baffled intake tract. This Stock Location Intake Kit replaces the factory airbox with a high-flow cone filter and mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube -- same location, same mounting points, vastly more airflow.
