TITANIUM EXHAUST Y-PIPE - INFINITI Q50/Q60 3.0T
Why Titanium. Grade 1 commercially pure titanium. Not coated steel, not a titanium-aluminum alloy — real, aerospace-grade titanium tube. At less than half the weight of stainless, it pulls meaningful mass out of the center of the chassis. Titanium's lower thermal conductivity also keeps more heat inside the exhaust stream — hotter gas moves faster, reducing backpressure and improving scavenging at high RPM. And the finish? Heat-cycled raw titanium develops a distinctive blue-purple patina that stainless will never match.
The Merge. Mandrel-bent throughout — no crush bends, no diameter compromises, no stamped collector compromises. The two banks merge through a properly designed Y-section that maintains cross-sectional area through the junction. TIG welded under full argon back-purge, every seam is clean inside and out — no internal weld sugaring to disrupt flow.
