For HONDA CIVIC FK8 TYPE R Catted DOWNPIPE
The Catalyst Matters. We use a 200-cell or 300-cell high-flow sports catalyst (configurable to your target market) with significantly lower cell density than the factory 600+ cell unit. Less cell density means more open area for exhaust gas to pass through — lower backpressure, faster spool, and a deeper exhaust note — while still providing enough catalytic surface area to keep O2 sensor readings within factory parameters. No CEL. No limp mode. No compromises for daily drivability.
Full 3-Inch Path. CNC mandrel-bent from 1.5mm SS304 stainless steel throughout. The 3-inch diameter is maintained from the CNC-machined turbo V-band flange, through the flex section and catalyst body, all the way to the catback connection. No neck-downs, no stamped collector compromises — just a clean, uninterrupted exhaust path with the sport cat doing its job mid-stream. TIG welded under full argon back-purge for smooth internal seams.
