While the 1 series breathed new life into the market for compact affordable BMWs, the OEM E82 and E88 1 series wheels it launched with, were arguably the most compromised factory fitment for any BMW. Re-use of 3 series running gear on a more compact body resulted in narrow, high offset wheels with extremely narrow 215 section tires up front. Given the high performance bar this chassis is capable of, a set of performance wheels optimized specifically around these limitations is critical to unlocking performance potential left on the table by the factory wheel sizing. We developed forged wheels like the VS-5RS, EC-7RS, SM-10RS, and flow formed wheels like the ARC-8, EC-7, FL-5 and SM-10 for the 1 series.
